MDCC Will Take Away What Is Due It From MCI – Gen. Sec.

The General Secretary of the Musama Disco Christo Church (MDCC), Rev. Isaac Kwesi Begyina has warned that the Church will take everything that belongs to it from the defected group, the Musama Church Int. (MCI).

The Musama Church Int. which broke away from the mother church the Musama Disco Christo Church following a Court ruling over an impasse are now said to be using church buildings, mission houses and instruments belonging to MDCC, as well as adopting its mode of worship.

Speaking to the media at this year’s Peace Festival (Asomdwe Afe) by the MDCC at Musano in the Central Region, the General Secretary of the Church, Rev. Isaac Kwesi Begyina stated that the MDCC see the break-away by the MCI as an opportunity of enhancing the spread of God’s work, but however pointed out that the MDCC will take everything that belongs to it which are being used by the defected faction, the MCI in due time.

Giving a brief history of the Church, the Media Liason Officer and Minister in charge of the Dansoman Circuit of the Church, Rev. Justice Moses Dadzie hinted that the Musama Disco Christo Church started as a prayer group in 1911 but metamorphosed into a faith society in 1919, and later registered as a Church in August 24, 1924, making it the oldest or one of the oldest spiritual churches.
