The founder of the Word of God Power Min. at Gomoa Beseadze in Central Region, Prophet Elijah Ansah has advised pastors operating Prayer Camps not to hesitate to refer patients brought to their centers whose condition need medical attention to the appropriate quarters for treatment. Speaking to Ghananews247.com in an interview, he said often, most of these prayer camps fail to allow people brought to their center with health conditions to seek treatment from the health facilities even when necessary, attributing all problems to spiritual attack. He noted that about seventy percent of all cases brought to prayer camps have spiritual connotations, he however advised that those that need medical treatment should be referred to the hospital to avoid any health damage to the patient. He also advised health practitioners, particularly doctors not to downplay the efficacy of herbal medicine and likewise refer patients whose ailments will need herbal treatment to the herbal center. According to him, there should be some cordial relation between the health facilities, the herbal centers and the prayer camps, as that will help ensure which role one has to play and at which, so as to avert the situation of inferiority and superiority complex among the three bodies.
