Christians have been advised to stop binding the devil through prayer, but rather pray for God’s guidance and protection against him.
Praying and binding Satan has been a routine prayer topic for Christians nowadays, and in most cases, even some go to the extent of shooting down Satan with gunshot sound by their mouth. As some are of firm believe that this prayer works, others, even including some men of God have questioned the bases of such prayer, as according to them, not even the highest sophisticated weapon ever made by man can kill the devil.
A minister of the African Faith Tabernacle Church in Agona Swedru, Snr. Prophet Kofi Ngurumasi Essuon who belong to that school of thought has however asked Christians to rather pray for God’s guidance and protection from the devil, as it is an immortal spirit that cannot be killed.
According to him, Satan and its followers were not created, but were spirits called by God, noting that that accounts for the reason why God Himself could not stay with them in Heaven but send them unto the earth.
He said until Christiana begin to note this and move from such prayer of binding and shooting the devil, their prayer will continue to be in vain.
