Emmanuel Martey *MAYWEATHER* (born 10th June 1992) is a Professional Ghanaian Boxer from Korle Gonno, Accra.
As a kid, Emmanuel had passion for Martial arts and football before taking up boxing later on.
Emmanuel is a Defensive Counter-puncher. His defensive acumen has long been associated with his patented shoulder-roll technique. His style of fighting is liken to that of Floyd Mayweather Jr. earning him the name. He is tough, fast, accurate and comes right at his opponents.
Emmanuel Martey represented Ghana at the world championships as an amateur in the Super Middleweight Division winning medals for the country. He is currently the Super Middleweight Champion of Ghana.
He made his professional debut on 9th October 2013 fighting Hassen Amoah at the Will Power Boxing Complex,Accra. He won by way of *TKO* on round 3.
On 1st April 2017 he defeated Stephen Abbey at the Bukom Boxing Arena, Accra Ghana by Unanimous decision to become the National Super Middleweight Champion in Ghana. After which he defended his Title very well by defeating Kwesi Tutu and also defeated Emmanuel Anim in the commonwealth eliminator fight. He compiled a record of 12-0 wins (9KO).
He will be challenging Sunday Ajuwa of Nigeria on the 11th of August 2018 at the Bukom Boxing Arena, Accra Ghana for the Vacant World Boxing Organization Africa Super Middleweight title.
