Women Empowerment Summit Ends

A 3-Day Women Empowerment Summit Organized by the Remember Me O’Lord Women Ministry in the United Kingdom in collaboration with the Restoration Assemblies of God Church at Agona Nyakrom for widows in deprived communities as well as orphans on the theme ‘’It Is My Time’’ has ended with the women receiving some financial assistance to support themselves.

They were taken through topics such as Marriage Laws, Causes of Breast Cancer and Treatment among others. 

Briefing ghananews247.com at the sidelines of the summit, the minister in charge of the Restoration Assemblies of God Church, Rev. Nicholas Baah Boison said the summit was intended to support widows who have become single parent as a result of the death of the spouse, as well as children who have lost their parents and have therefore become orphans.

According to him, over two hundred women and orphans from Agona Nyakrom and its environs participated in the summit.

The founder and president of the Ministry based in the UK, Prophetess Isabella Kwaw disclosed that her vision is to empower women to take up their rightful place both in society and the Lord, irrespective of the challenges that they go through.

She hinted that she intends to organize the summit annually to be able to reach more women in deprived rural communities.

The summit was sponsored by a Canada-based Ghanaian, Nana Kofi Bonsu.
