Churches Condemn Selling Of Anointing Oil At Exorbitant Prices By Pastors

Anointing Oil

Some members of the Clergy have condemned what they said is an attempt by some Pastors to amass wealth for themselves by selling all manner of items in their church, including anointing oil at exorbitant prices to their unsuspecting congregation.

Not only did they describe the development as worrying, but they also questioned the source of the numerous varieties of anointing oils on the market, with different colours.

The concern was expressed by the Swedru branch Minister of the Universal Church of Jesus, Rev. Frank Avumey and the founder of Victory Hands of God at Agona Nyakrom, Pastor Jonah Adu-Fennin in separate interviews with Ghananews247.com.

According to them, though anointing oil was recommended by God to be used to ordain Pastors and Kings as well as for healing purposes, it is not to be sold exorbitant prices, and also not to be consumed internally as directed by some Pastors because they can contain harmful chemicals.
